Upcoming Class: The Mane Extension
This is more than just learning how to braid…
This is the one task I wanted to master as a child. I, unfortunately, did not get it until I was in my mid-20s, but I GOT IT! If you read my previous post about how A Taste of T Academy started, before my investment with Taliah Waajid’s braiding seminar, what I didn’t tell you was I ended up straining my right hand, had to go to physical therapy, and was afraid I was never going to be able to do hair again. This is why this class is one of my favorites to teach.
Those who were raised doing hair from the womb and have been braiding all of their life, understand that once you hit your early 20s, carpel tunnel is the enemy. Although I was below novice (trust me I was beeeee-llloooowwwwww) when I attended Taliah’s seminar, I was able to master various techniques that have allowed me to be more creative and precise when working with my clients. The techniques I learned that I now pass on to my students, have given me longevity in this industry. Even the seasoned braiders and natural hair care specialist that have been in the hair game longer than I have, noticed a difference in their skill and how their hands felt.
Learning braiding can be overwhelming. However, in this 2-day workshop, I go beyond just teaching how to braid or twist. I teach how to execute a style with precision, and show you the exact same products that I use in the salon, which do not cause buildup, or itching, and help maintain moisture in the hair. Generally speaking, I help you understand the ins and outs of hair braiding or twisting and how to charge for your time! Even if you are a seasoned braider, this workshop is still for you!
Our next workshop will be from April 16th - April 17th. You can register here. Payment plans are available. Shoot me an email if you have any additional questions. What are some products you like to use when doing braids or twists?
